leopard from altai mongolia

I love to go through the artworks of the old altai pazyrik culture. They always have been a great inspiration to me. Here’s som shots of a small leopard made of boxwood. It just got waxed today and buffed out once, so the patina is still to come alive. This kind of ornaments used to be made from wood and richly embellished horsebridles.

The size is 6 x 9 cm ( 2.5 x 3.5 inches)
