three legged stool

This is my current project. I love to work with fresh cleaved cuarters. Sitting straight is quite unconfortable on regular chairs. Everybody knows by now that the only way to keep a straight posture while sitting is to sit on what they call the “sit-bones”. What a coincidence.

So paying respect to the ash tree, I recently cut down, I came up with this model. The angle of the back part of the seat is pointing upwards and thus pushes your body right in contact with the sit-bones. It’s perfect to sit on when working. The placement of the fore leg allows the stool to follow your movement when leaning over. Love every bit of it! This one is still in progress. There’ll be more variations to come, so hang on…
